There are 3 of these shorter 5/16"unf bolts holding the spring straps 2A3658 to the flywheel on diaphragm type flywheels only. Not for Verto flywheel.

Only tighten up to 16lbs per sq foot torque when using shake proof washer or 18lbs if using flat washer and locktite. The steel used is EN1A leaded which is a low carbon free cutting steel which is used in most general engineering applications and is not suitable for hardening. It conforms to British Standards BS 220Mo7Pb and conforms to European Standards DIN 9SMmnPb36 but experience shows it is not suitable for heavy duty use or racing..
