The standard front hub bearings are angular contact ball bearing type, which works well but does not allow for any adjustment as the bearings wear. Taper bearings provide better support. Our tapered bearing kit includes high quality bearings, seals, spacer ring, split pin, assortment of shims and nut and utilizes the standard spacer for a simple installation. The larger bearing has the correct 2mm fillet radius to allow proper fitment on the stub axle and has been specially manufactured to allow the hub to sit in the correct position so the caliper does not interfere with the disc.
